Illustrations for an
Educational Book Company
I was commissioned to create a set of illustrations for BookLife Publishing. They publish a range of educational books that help children learn how to read, with a strong emphasis on phonics. BookLife provided the page layouts and the story, and I was tasked with bringing it to life in a colourful and engaging manner.
The first book focuses on a young girl and her team of crabs, who clean up a tropical beach. The story highlights the importance of teamwork and caring for the environment.
The second book tells the tale of a young dragon named Yin, who is born into a colony of dragons who inhabit a desolate landscape. Originally shunned due to her differences, she learns to accept them and in doing so, discovers her unique power that brings life to the landscape and bridges the divide between her and the others.
